10 Self Care Tips That You Can Start Today

The first 6 months of 2020 have been interesting to say the least. During these times, it is super important to make sure that your mental health is intact. The Glisten Gang is here to provide you with 10 Self Care Tips that you can use to continue to “glisten”: 

1. Sleep

Sleep is super important in anyone's daily routine. #TeamNoSleep is a myth and SUPER unhealthy.  Adults should average at least 7-9 hours of sleep a day. Most businesses are closed anyway, so you might as well get your sleep on.

2. Drink Water

Proper hydration levels help the skin to become plump and improves its elasticity”.  Question: How can you truly glisten if your skin doesn't? 

3. Social Media Cleanse

Take a break from social media & technology: We know that we have become physically drained from our timelines and news feeds recently. There has been an influx of negative things happening in the world & seeing these things 24/7 365 can be exhausting. Log off of instagram for 30 mins a day to find your happy place again.

4. Journal

For us, writing things down brings forth manifestation. Grab a sheet a paper and write down your goals, dreams or even things you want to rid yourself of

5. Meditate

Oooommmmm while you're home! Take 10-15 minutes to meditate daily and speak positive affirmations into your day.

6. Take a Long Bath

Bath time is alone time-- unless you're lucky! lol Grab some bath bombs, your favorite book & chill! Let your mind wander!

 7. Get a Hobby

Take this time at home to find a new hobby! Watch that DIY video or take that virtual Zumba that you’ve been dying to.

8. Read  

Reading is fundamental people! Grab your kindle, a cup of coffee and escape with good books! 

9. Exercise

The easiest way to “Glisten” is to sweat! Take 30 mins out of your day to do some in home workouts, go for a bike ride,etc. Whatever it is, get your blood flowing & skin glowing with some exercise.

10. Online Shopping 

Retail therapy keeps anyone sane! Treat yourself to something that will make you feel good! One component of feeling good internally is looking good on the outside! What better way to indulge in online shopping then stopping by the glisten shops online accessory store.
